Uses Of Release Agents

Uses Of Release Agents
1. Classification by usage: internal release agent, external release agent;
2. Classification by lifespan: conventional release agent, semi-permanent release agent;
3. Classification by form: solvent-based release agent, water-based release agent, solvent-free release agent, powder release agent, paste release agent.

4. Classification by active substance:
① Silicon series - mainly siloxane compounds, silicone oil, silicone resin methyl branched silicone oil, methyl silicone oil, emulsified methyl silicone oil, hydrogenated methyl silicone oil, silicone grease, silicone resin, silicone rubber, silicone rubber toluene solution.
②Wax series——plant, animal, synthetic paraffin; microcrystalline paraffin; polyethylene wax, etc.
③ Fluorine series - the best isolation performance, less pollution to the mold, but high cost polytetrafluoroethylene; fluororesin powder; fluororesin coating, etc.
④ Surfactant series - metal soap (anionic), EO, PO derivatives (non-ionic).
⑤Inorganic powder series——talc, mica, clay, white clay, etc.
⑥Polyether series——mixture of polyether and fat oil, good heat resistance and chemical resistance, mostly used in certain rubber industries that have restrictions on silicone oil. The cost is higher than the silicone oil series.
Other aqueous release agents containing masking agents: use masking agents to fix water molecules. Durable release agents: silicone oil + silicone resin system, more than 800 times. Multilayer composite release agents: halogenated hydrocarbon film + polyethylene release agent + polyvinyl alcohol release agent. Aromatic polysulfone release agents. Release agents for mold treatment. Halogenated polyether release agents: reduce vapor pressure, increase decomposition temperature, and will not cause charged contact. Carbonyl silane release agent: internal demolding, improve adhesion to the surface of water-based ink. Reactive release agent: after coating, it undergoes chemical reaction to form a film and adheres to the mold surface at the same time. The above are some representative release agents. They have their own characteristics and can be used separately according to their uses.
For example, it is used as a back treatment agent for fiber adhesive tapes, release paper, anti-sticking agent (telephone poles, telephone boxes, signs, logos), and anti-pollution (inside and outside wall coatings, vehicles, roadblocks, road barriers, etc.) to prevent residual sticking around the adhesive.
